Drone roof surveys · Guernsey & the Bailiwick

Drone roof surveys in Guernsey.

See exactly what’s happening on your Guernsey roof — without ladders or scaffolding, and without the cost or risks of working at height. A licensed drone captures every tile, flashing and chimney in 4K, and a professional roofing contractor turns it into an insurer-ready roof health report, typically within 2–3 days.

What we find on Guernsey roofs

Every ridge, valley, chimney and flashing

From the granite terraces of St Peter Port to exposed coastal properties across the Vale, Castel and Torteval, Guernsey roofs take a real battering from Channel weather. We capture every detail close-up in 4K — the parts a ground-level look or a quick ladder inspection can never safely reach. One flight, the whole roof, no one leaving the ground.

01

Slipped, cracked & missing slates

Spot every slate and tile letting water in, across the entire roof in a single flight — including the steep and hard-to-reach pitches common on older island homes.

02

Flashings, lead & mortar

Failing flashings, tired lead work and open mortar joints around chimneys, valleys and abutments — the usual culprits behind a slow leak.

03

Storm, moss & water ingress

Wind-lifted ridges after a gale, moss and lichen build-up, blocked valleys and gutters, and the tell-tale staining of water finding its way in.

How it works

From enquiry to report in days, not weeks

No scaffolding to hire, no roofer clambering over your slates, no waiting around. Here’s the whole process.

1

Get a fixed quote

Tell us your address and roof type. We come back with a clear, fixed price — usually the same day.

2

We fly the survey

A CAA-licensed pilot flies the whole roof in about an hour. No access equipment, and in most cases you don’t even need to be home.

3

4K close-up capture

Every elevation, ridge, valley and chimney recorded in high-resolution 4K — a complete visual record of the roof’s condition.

4

Your report, in 2–3 days

A professional roofing contractor reviews the imagery and writes your roof health report, delivered within 2–3 days (weather permitting).

Guernsey roof surveys — FAQs

Questions, answered

Do you cover the whole of Guernsey?
Yes — we survey roofs in every Guernsey parish, from St Peter Port and St Sampson to the Vale, Castel, St Saviour, St Martin, St Andrew, Forest, Torteval and St Pierre du Bois. We also fly Herm, Sark and Alderney, and across Jersey, by arrangement.
Are you licensed to fly drones in Guernsey?
Yes. We hold a CAA Operational Authorisation and are a licensed operator with the Channel Islands Director of Civil Aviation (DCA), and we’re fully insured. Every survey is flown legally and safely within the Bailiwick of Guernsey’s airspace rules.
Will my insurer accept the report?
Yes. Our roof health report is produced with a professional roofing contractor and RICS Technology Partner, and is designed to be insurer-ready: dated, high-resolution 4K imagery plus a clear written condition assessment. It’s already trusted by leading insurance firms and loss adjusters across the islands.
How much does a drone roof survey cost in Guernsey?
A visual drone roof survey starts at £249, and the full written Roof Health Report is £375. You’ll always have a fixed price up front before we fly — no surprises. See our full pricing.
How long does it take?
The flight itself usually takes about an hour on site, and we can often book you in the same week. Your written report is delivered within 2–3 days of the survey (weather permitting).
Do I need scaffolding, or to be at home?
Neither. There’s no scaffolding or access equipment — the drone does it all from the air — and in most cases you don’t need to be home for the flight. We’ll confirm the details when you book.
